Volunteer Teams

God has blessed us with several folks considering sending teams to work with us here in Africa. We have one church coming in February, another for July, and two more for September and October. There is even a team already planning on 2010! We are excited about the possibilities and being able to plug these folks in here in Kenya.

As we travel out and about the end of this year, we will be visiting our students, seeing their ministries, and just “surveying the land” in terms of volunteer work. Pray for God to show us just how we can best use these teams for spreading the Word and the work around Kenya. It might be that we will see needs that the teams can meet as we see the ministries that our students are involved in. There are also some other possibilities that have been suggested by some Kenyan friends that we plan to check out. Working here at the College and in the neighborhoods and towns within our reach are also great possibilities. Our prayer is that God will let us know what He desires and we’ll be able to get the most out of the time each team can come and spend with us.

There are also several teachers who may be coming to teach at the College.  We have a couple of College music students considering coming to help us teach music in August and others who have expressed interest. Dr. Perrin was a blessing this past session and a tremendous help and encouragement to us and the students. Volunteers of this sort are a tremendous blessing and we appreciate all who are considering coming to participate with us in that area as well.

The possibilities of volunteer work here in Kenya are plentiful! We thank God for this and look forward to seeing how He will work it all out. Keep this area of our ministry here in your prayers as we begin working toward hosting teams in this new place of service.
